United World Wrestling Women and Sport Award

The United World Wrestling Women and Sport Award represents recognition and encouragement. It empowers women in wrestling and pursuits gender equality.

Each year, the UWW Women and Sport Award is given to a woman or an organization who has made remarkable contributions to the development of women’s wrestling.

The winner is also supported with a grant of $10’000 to help them continue and extend their work.

This award is endorsed by United World Wrestling Women and Sport Commission.

The 2016 United World Wrestling Women and Sport Award Winner Ms Isabelle Sambou (SEN)
